Code Red

DJ Codered first hit the airwaves in 2017 starting as an intern for WVCR and hopes to remain a permanent fixture. Codered is Guilderland High School Class of 2014, Siena Class of 2018 and has studied probably half of what the college has to offer, and that’s a lot. This includes American History, Political Science, German, Broadcast Journalism, Pre-Law, and Revolutionary War Studies. In Fall, 2017, Codered studied at William and Mary and brought his show to the WCWM 90.9 while studying Colonial American History and learning to work with 18th century radio (also know as a printing press). His hope is to become a “Jack-of-all-Trades, Master of Some.” He’s known for bringing the party and the playlist to road trips and is always down for an impromptu dance party.

Fun Facts:
- Codered speaks German very enthusiastically and is always ready to pick up a conversation where he can.
- He loves to travel to new places, whether that’s to South Carolina with Habitat For Humanity or back in time when he worked for Colonial Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia!
- If you drive with him through Albany, he’s known for giving a lit driving tour (or walking tour if you want to get in the step count). If you ever need some historical or political fun facts, he’s your guy.
“Codered’s All Nighter” is a show designed to bring all the best music to all the best people to help your night go by as smooth as jazz. He plays all kinds of music, usually based on a weekly theme and on requests, because he’s on the “Station Where You Never Know What You’ll Hear Next!”
